2010 Scholarship Application Process is closed!

Each year the Purdue Club of Chicago (PCC) awards a scholarship to one or more incoming freshmen from the Chicago area. The goal of the scholarship fund is to provide financial assistance to deserving applicants to help offset the difference between out-of-state tuition and in-state tuition. The scholarship is not currently renewable, although PCC hopes to develop the scholarship into a four-year renewable award.

The deadline for submitting your application was June 10th.

Policies for Applying for Scholarship:

  • Applicants must be incoming freshmen for the calendar year in which they are applying for the scholarship.
  • Each applicant must be sponsored by a current Purdue Club of Chicago member or Purdue Alumni Association member that lives in the Chicago area. (Information regarding membership is available on our membership page.)
  • The sponsor’s name and contact information must be provided on the application.
  • The sponsor should personally know the applicant and be prepared to verify that he/she is recommending the applicant for consideration.
  • An eligible PCC or Purdue Alumni Association member can sponsor more than one applicant at a time.
  • PCC or Purdue Alumni Association members who act as sponsors cannot be involved in the selection process, i.e. members of the Directors Fund may not act as sponsors.
  • The Scholarship Chair/Directors Fund will only request that the sponsor verify sponsorship of student. The sponsor is not required to verify information provided by the applicant.
